Check out the National Aquarium's report and photo of humpback whales swimming with humans close to the beach in Ocean City, MD. This is indeed an unbelievable photo! My husband & I visited Assateague Island the same day which is just a few miles down the coast and didn't get to see them. I think we would have had a coronary had they gotten so close to us! It just proves how fun and interesting a place the beach is for all us loving humans.

Homeschoolers and parents of preschoolers, did you know late August and September are terrific times at the beach? Rates start dropping at this time and the weather's still sunny & warm. Our pool is open until October (weather permitting) so you should consider a visit!

There have been humpback whale and dolphin sightings in Ocean City and the Delaware beaches so it's an educational adventure too. Give me a call to book your week or mini-week at 302-322-2681...I'm looking forward to hearing from you.

Rates are running $1275.-1475.00 in September plus...I'll give you an extra $100. off if you homeschool or have preschoolers!

Bookings for the 2010 season are still available! As of today, we have August & September weeks left for rentals. Be sure to email me at rba0422@gmail.com if further information is needed about a rental or visit us at http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p249710.

We have a great track record for rentals and lots of referrals. If you're interested in a date I've already booked at our property, contact me ASAP...I have referrals to similar properties in Bayville Shores I can share with you.

I've heard and believe it now that in bad economic times vacation rental homes fare well because it is a less expensive option for families who wish to combine resources and rent together in one unit rather than going the costly root of renting several hotel rooms. Judging from our success thus far this season, I'd say the TRUE! Please do not delay in getting in touch about your rental dates.

Have a happy summer vacation and hope to see you at sun's first shine this summer in Fenwick Island, Delaware...

Hello visitors! I'm sorry it has been so long since I posted here but seems keeping up with the electronic info age is difficult when there are so many places to post. Right now we advertise on 4 or more sites ranging from homeaway.com, vacationrentals.com, vacationrentals411.com, etc. plus there's a Facebook fan page, and another blog at www.angelstide.wordpress.com. So you can see, I'm not the greatest at keeping up with them all but will try harder in coming weeks.

I've been posting lots of fun items at all of the spots listed so please visit us at the various spots real soon and be sure to join our Facebook fan page.

First off heading into summer I came across this wonderful website and thought it would be a fun for our guests to consider family portraits on the beach. Be sure to check out www.thephotographersstudio.com for portrait info in the Fenwick Island or Ocean City area.

Wilmington, DE June 14, 2009 - What a terrific day for the annual procession of the saints through the streets of Little Italy in Wilmington! The sun was shining and the temperature was perfect...the best weather in recent memory.

This is the first St. Anthony's Italian Festival since our beloved senator turned U.S. Vice President so few expected to see him making the annual walk along in the procession. Those of us in the Archangelo family were no expection when up pulled 2 unusual SUVs with strobe lights and numerous atypical folks wandering the sidewalks glancing to and fro...surely a Secret Service detail. All of us at the corner of 6th & Scotts Streets realized quickly we were probably in for a surprise when Senator Tom Carper walked up to me hand outstretched and announced, "Joe Biden's back there". I enjoyed a good chuckle and said I didn't believe him but he assured me it was true. What a real surprise and treat when Vice President Biden and his darling granddaughter, Natalie made their way up the street to our corner!

My beaming mother-in-law hopped out to shake hands with Biden when he put arms around her and gave her a kiss! I was standing there in shock with my camera thrown over my shoulder enjoying the moment when I hollered for him to wait so I could take a photo. Mom also told him he owed her a photo. He obliged giving us his wonderful smile then hugged & kissed me and moved on to the next-door neighbors too.

I'm not sure he heard us when we mentioned his son, Beau accidentally turned my camera off rather than shooting a photo several years back but this was all the sweeter and worth the wait. The photo above isn't the best because I was shooting into the sun and didn't have time to readjust my camera but it will be treasured!
